About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Sr. Designer 1 in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Drive the creative direction of products along the customer journey. Identify visual and UX design problems and deliver a full and complete product solution. Inspire and collaborate with product teams to rapidly produce inventive and thoughtful product experiences that are intuitive and integrate seamlessly with user’s mental models. Demonstrate thought leadership in the Payments space. Work closely with User Research teams to create user test plans and gather insights that help to drive continuous improvement of the eBay product. Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and communicate ideas to the design organization as a whole. Full-time telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

Hands-on UI/UX design experience in Web and mobile apps (2 years) Driving design and user-experience end-to-end. (2 years) User-centered design process. (2 years) Hands-on experience with concepting and visualizing experiences through storyboarding, scenarios, task flows, and prototypes at all levels of fidelity (2 years) Fluency in the latest product design trend, tools and technology cross platform, design and wireframing software such as Figma or Sketch. (2 years) Creating strategic ideas, user scenarios, journey map, wireframes, Lo-Fi / Hi-Fi designs and prototypes throughout the full cycle of the product development process (2 years) Using quantitative and qualitative data to develop design and support design decisions (2 years) Collaborating with UXR team to conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iteratively improve the user experience and usability of products. (2 years) Collaborating with cross-functional teams of product managers, software engineers, researchers, and content designers (2 years)

Salary: $217,610.00-217,610.00per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
