Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, UX designers, and product managers in an agile environment to create high-quality, high-performance, visually appealing, and interaction-rich front-end products. You will be involved in all phases of the development cycle, ensuring compatibility across browsers and operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, UX designers, and product managers to design, develop, test, and support front-end products.

  • Web Application Development: Utilize JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, web UX component template languages, web assembly, and Node.js to develop and maintain web applications.

  • Responsive Design: Design and develop responsive layouts that ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility and performance.

  • Rich Web Applications: Build rich web applications using browser local IndexedDB and web workers. Design and implement shareable UX components, libraries, tools, and processes to enhance team development agility.

  • Project Planning: Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out system changes. Identify project technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • API Integration: Integrate with backend APIs, focusing on performance tuning for both browser and Node.js virtual machines.

  • Automated Testing: Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Percy, or other testing frameworks to ensure code quality.

  • Code Quality: Ensure code quality by writing well-structured, maintainable, and efficient code, incorporating CSS and JavaScript standard practices.

  • Accessibility Compliance: Address accessibility issues and ensure compliance with standards. Familiarity with web accessibility testing and tools is essential.

  • Software Design: Translate requirements into software design, creating clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code.

  • Scalable Applications: Build highly available, scalable user-facing applications, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, web technologies, and services (e.g., Java/Angular/ReactJS/Typescript).

  • Productivity Improvements: Improve team velocity by identifying and evangelizing opportunities for productivity enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science with 6-8+ years of experience

  • Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.

  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.

  • Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and testing.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in an agile environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent decision-making skills, thrive on dealing with ambiguities and changes. 

  • Deeply care about what you build. Have strong sense of ownership to work effectively across teams & multiple division stakeholders

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$115,200 - $199,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
