This role requires a strong technical leader with proven expertise in architecting backend services and delivering scalable front-end applications. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing systems that support eBay’s global platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and security at scale.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Architecture &amp; Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and front-end applications that power eBay’s next-generation systems.  </li><li>System Design: Drive architectural decisions, ensuring system scalability, security, and fault tolerance.  </li><li>Full-Stack Ownership: Work across the stack—developing RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, and intuitive front-end interfaces.  </li><li>Collaboration: Partner with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.  </li><li>Best Practices: Champion coding standards, secure development practices, and CI/CD automation.  </li><li>Mentorship: Guide junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.  </li><li>Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends, modern frameworks, and emerging technologies to continually improve eBay’s engineering practices.  </li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Education<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).  </li></ul>Experience<ul><li>8–10 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in full-stack development.  </li><li>Proven track record of architecting backend services and designing high-performance systems.  </li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Backend: Expertise in Node.js, Java, or similar backend frameworks.
