About the team and the role:
The Selling team at eBay is dedicated to empowering sellers to efficiently manage their eBay listings. As a Lead iOS Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications that enhance the seller experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions using GraphQL and a Federated Graph architecture. This role not only involves leading technical initiatives but also mentoring iOS engineers to foster growth and excellence within the team.

What you will accomplish:

Design and build robust and scalable iOS applications utilizing Swift UI to improve seller listing management and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to define innovative features
Improve data access and management by developing and integrating GraphQL APIs
Optimize application performance focusing on speed, scalability, and usability
Lead and mentor iOS engineers, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Contribute to strategic planning and technical decision-making processes within the team to align with eBays goals

What you will bring:

A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Over 10 years of professional experience in iOS development with proficiency in Swift, Swift UI, Objective C.
Hands-on experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics
Extensive experience with GraphQL and Federated Graph architecture
An understanding of Apple’s design principles and ability to optimize performance using tools like Instruments
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to work optimally in a team environment

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$142,400 - $232,300

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
