Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Test Engineer.  This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week) based at our Moon Township, PA location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What youll do:

The Test Engineer will execute testing tasks of new product development and maintenance of line development projects.  They will execute automated testing programs and validate electronic devices, specifically Trip Units, Breakers, Meters, and Protective Relays.

 

  • Execute test plans for all levels of testing. Maintains records of test progress, documents test results, prepares reports and presents results as appropriate
  • Execute tests (both manual and automated) from detailed product requirements complying with coding guidelines, electrical standards and test architecture.
  • Participate in investigates of plant issues and field issues and provide engineering support.
  • Participate in design and implementation reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers and other members of the team in testing requirements and release planning. 

 

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of automation and testing experience
  • Experience with test equipment such as Omicron, Fluke, or, Power System Simulators
  • Experience with testing in large, complex electrical system environments
  • Experience with writing test automation scripts

    

 

Position Criteria:  

  • Individual who is self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, attentive to detail, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles
  • Good written and oral communications skills and be proficient in preparation of formal test procedures and reports
  • Familiarity with electrical power systems
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel 10%
