<p><span>Eaton’s ES AMER Sector Integration division is currently seeking a Data Center Systems Architect. Individuals will be able to work from a remote home office but must be located in either San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA or Manassas, VA areas.  </span></p><p><span>The expected annual salary range for this role is $141,000 - $259,440 a year. To remain relevant and competitive, Eaton must adopt a systems-based approach and provide comprehensive, unified solutions to our customers.This role will be part of the Data Center Architect Team which will play a pivotal role in achieving this by:</p><p>-Driving Innovation and Systems Thinking: The team will lead the development of next-generation data center solutions, integrating power, cooling, and data transport technologies. This approach is essential for providing modular solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers.<br />-Enhancing Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: By working closely with customers, the team will gather feedback and ensure that our offerings align with market demands. This will help us build stronger relationships and reinforce our engineering credibility.<br />-Supporting Key Accounts and Market Drivers: The team will focus on supporting major customers such as NVIDIA, AMD, Microsoft, Google, Meta, AWS, and Oracle. This will enable us to anticipate and meet customer demand, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing lost business due to insufficient capacity.</p><p>This external-facing position at the sector level drives unified data center solutions, coordinating internal innovation across multiple disciplines while interfacing with end customers. Focus will be put on systems thinking and competitive intelligence.</p><p>The role shall encompass early concept ideation, review of design reviews, analysis, ideation, and peer reviews of more detailed proposed or existing designs. The role will engage internally and externally as a subject matter expert in the field of data center infrastructure design and operations. The person shall be able to take an end-to-end systems approach for electrical, mechanical, network, and controls with a systems or holistic approach to the overall data center design. The person shall advise on key performance metrics covering value engineering, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operability.</p></div></div><div><div><h2>Job Responsibilities:    </h2></div><div><p>-Be knowledgeable of current trends and innovate the market.<br />-Identify and build positive relationships with all account decision-makers and influencers who impact current or future business with Eaton.<br />-Gain an in-depth understanding of the client buying process and be able to articulate it effectively.<br />-Understand and capture clients challenges and requirements, resolving them with reference to Eatons portfolio.<br />-Ensure an effective handover to post-order project management, product services, and customer support teams.<br />-Maintain oversight of all commercial-related engagements to ensure customer success and satisfaction, as well as Eatons performance as a vendor.<br />-Be highly knowledgeable about the clients business, commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges. Provide and gain support so others can meet their responsibilities to the account.<br />-Provide all internal stakeholders and functional departments with the account-specific guidance and insights required to execute their roles and add value to the client.<br />-Build a multi-lane bridge between Eaton and the client organization. This may include R&amp;D, Product Managers, BU Engineers, BDM, Marketing, PMO, Services, Sales Operations &amp; Order Management, Supply Chain, Leadership &amp; Executive Management.<br />-Request and support marketing campaigns (ABM) and activities that can grow Eatons relationship and business with the client.</p></div></div><div><div><h2>Qualifications:</h2></div><div><p><strong>Basic (Required) Qualifications:<br /></strong>-Bachelors degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution<br />-Minimum of 10 years experience in data center business; this could be a combination of any or all of the 7 dimensions (gray space, white space, fiber, cooling, power, controls and rack designs).<br />-This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.</p><p><strong><br />Preferred Qualifications:    </strong></p><p>-Technical knowledge in data centers design and construction, specifically Fiber Optics, Electrical systems, Mechanical Cooling systems, Controls, Liquid cooling (Direct to Chip, 2 phase, and immersion). Practical onsite data center experience is essential. <br />-Project Management Experience: Experience with Product Design or Product Management with a working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. <br />-Specialized Industry Knowledge: Ability to create customized data center physical layer solutions tailored to various data center subsegments, including (but not limited to) Hyperscale, liquid cooling, and the modular edge.<br />-DMAIC experience for process improvement and drive for excellence.  <br />-Highly proficient at technical program management, agile and process improvement.<br />-Whitespace design- fiber, cooling, power, controls, and rack designs, with proven ability to write whitepaper and drive innovation.<br />-To perform effectively, the individual shall maintain sufficient market and competitor intelligence,  understand client and market primary trends and requirements and how competition addresses them and how Eaton uniquely and preferentially meets them. <br />-Highly proficient at consultative selling and at communicating Eatons differentiated value at company, product, and service levels.
