This role is responsible for franchisee billings, distributor invoicing, vendor billings, and collection of funds for all company entities. This role involves accurate invoicing, cash application, reconciliations, and preparing journal entries for month-end close. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Real Estate, and Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial stability.Job Qualifications:<ul><li>3-5years of hands-on Billing/Receivables experience, required</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related degree</li><li>Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems – experience in Microsoft D365 and Blackline a plus</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work in a team-fostered environment with a positive attitude and willingness to learn</li></ul>Location Requirement: This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.Key Result Areas (KRAs):Serve as the main contact and subject matter expert for all AR processes and procedures:<ul><li>Act as the main point of contact for issues between departments and customers.</li><li>Design and maintain effective and optimized internal controls while contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.</li><li>Respond in a timely manner to a high volume of internal and external email requests.</li></ul>Maintain Accurate Customer Data and Communication:<ul><li>Process weekly statements for Franchisees and Operators </li><li>Weekly invoicing of beans and Rebel to outside customers</li><li>Daily invoicing of all internal reimbursable/owner receivable accounts from the Accounts Payable Team</li><li>Lead monthly franchise billing cycles and corresponding journal entries (royalties, DB app fees, pass-throughs)</li><li>Create and maintain Customers in the system</li><li>Prepare AR schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end close</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions<ul><li>Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings </li></ul></li><li>Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels</li><li>Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds</li><li>Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.</li><li>Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.</li><li>Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools.
