We are a fun-loving, mind-blowing company that makes a difference one cup at a time. <div>Position OverviewThe Dutch Bros Indirect Tax Team plays a critical role in the company’s financial operations with a strong focus on compliance, operational efficiency and audit readiness related to sales use and gross receipts taxes.  The Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves tax research, compliance monitoring, audit support, and working closely with various departments to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.</div><div>Job Qualifications<ul><li>2+ years of experience in sales and use tax compliance or related tax/accounting roles.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, preferred.</li><li>Experience with D365 or other ERP systems, familiarity with POS reporting, preferred</li><li>Experience in a restaurant or retail organization, preferred</li><li>Experience in a multi-state organization.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.</li><li>Knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax laws and regulations. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul> Location Requirement:This role is located in Tempe, AZ. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days</div><div>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and file timely and accurate sales and use tax returns in all required jurisdictions (state, county, and local).</li><li>Reconcile tax general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of tax accruals.</li><li>Monitor sales tax rates, rules, and regulatory changes and ensure the business is compliant.</li><li>Respond to tax notices and inquiries from state and local tax authorities.</li><li>Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests.</li><li>Partner with IT, the Field, Accounting, and Marketing teams to ensure tax systems and processes are correctly configured.</li><li>Perform tax research and provide guidance on the tax implications of business transactions.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings related to indirect taxes.</li></ul></div><div>Skills<ul><li>Organized </li><li>Attention to Detail</li><li>Analytical </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel </li><li>Accounting Systems and Software</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Continuous Learning</li></ul></div><div>Physical Requirements<ul><li>In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions</li><li>Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings </li><li>Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels</li><li>Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds</li><li>Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls.
