Position Overview:

This unique hybrid position combines deep expertise in equity plan administration with strong analytical capabilities in compensation design, benchmarking and program management. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering equity programs, strong quantitative/analytical skills, and an interest in executive and incentive compensation.  

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in equity administration with at least CEP Level I certification, CEP Level 2 or 3 is preferred; experience with both RSUs and PSUs.

  • Hands-on experience with equity administration platforms (e.g., E*trade, Shareworks, etc.) and HRIS systems.

  • Strong knowledge of equity plan design, taxation, SEC reporting, and global compliance requirements. 

  • Familiarity with executive compensation and public company governance, including Sarbanes-Oxley, Say-on-Pay, CD&A, and Section 16 reporting.

  • Advanced analytical and Excel modeling skills, preferably in Compensation, Equity Plans, or related domains; experience with compensation survey tools, compensation planning cycles, or incentive plans is a plus.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

  • Discretion in handling confidential information and data integrity.

Location Requirement: 

This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Equity Administration:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of global equity programs, including RSUs and PSUs via the company’s stock administration platform.

  • Maintain accurate participant records, including grants, exercises, and vesting.

  • Coordinate with internal partners (Finance, Legal, Payroll, Tax) and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing.

  • Support the quarterly and annual equity reporting and reconciliation processes.
    Manage SOX controls documentation and execution, including periodic testing and audit support

  • Prepare materials for the Board of Directors, Compensation Committee, and audits as needed.

  • Support executive stock plan activity, such as Section 16 compliance, 10b5-1 plans, etc. as needed.

  • Assist with 10-Q/10-K disclosures related to equity, compensation expense, and stockholder equity reconciliation
     

Compensation Analysis & Program Management:

  • Conduct compensation analyses for new hires, promotions, annual reviews, and internal equity adjustments.

  • Support the design and modeling of compensation structures, incentive plans, and salary ranges.

  • Perform market benchmarking using compensation survey data.

  • Analyze compensation trends and provide insights and recommendations to Compensation leadership.

  • May own the administration of one more more compensation programs, such as quarterly equity grants, incentives, or relocation programs.
     

Executive/Incentive Compensation Support:.

  • Contribute to executive compensation benchmarking and the preparation of materials and disclosures for the annual proxy statement, including Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A), Summary Compensation Table, and Pay vs. Performance disclosures

  • Evaluate and model performance-based equity structures, share pool usage, dilution impact, and grant guidelines for global populations.

  • Track and analyze equity trends, burn rates, and overhang metrics to inform plan governance and Board-level discussions.

  • Evaluate effectiveness of current equity and incentive programs and propose enhancements based on business needs and market trends.

Skills:

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

    • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings 

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software. 

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
