DuPont Advanced Cleans & Slurry Technologies (ACST) R&D is seeking a skilled and motivated with proven experience in CMP slurry formulation to join our R&D center at Korea Technology Center (KTC) located in Hwaseong, Korea.
As the ACST business is accelerating slurry Business growth in Korea, this role will focus on the development of advanced slurry solutions for semiconductor applications and will require strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and customer collaboration based on KR top-tier customer needs.
The scientist will support slurry product development with performing experiments, collaborating with global Slurry R&D scientists. As Slurry R&D started to expand footprint in Korea, this role will also include lab set-up to establish experimental capabilities.
To the success of this role, this position will require chemistry background, innovative thinking, willingness to learn new technology and experimental skill-set, and open-minded for global cross-functional collaboration. Scientist motivated by resolving technical challenges and excited by global collaboration will thrive in this position.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design, formulation, and performance optimization of CMP slurry products for various semiconductor applications (e.g., oxide, metal, barrier CMP).
- Design and perform experiments, characterization using analytical tools (e.g., particle size analysis, zeta potential, SEM, etc.), summarize and understand data
- Collaborate with global R&D, application engineering, and manufacturing teams to drive product development from concept to commercialization. Provide high-quality of technical documents for internal discussion and customer sharing
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and documentation for both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Participate in regular technical meetings and discussions with global colleagues in English.
Qualifications:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Technical competency in material science with chemistry background
- Well-organized, innovative, and results-driven, collaborative mind-set
- Good communication skills to work with internal/external collaborators
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in slurry material development
- Technical skill-set for inorganic nanoparticles analysis
- English skills for successful global collaboration
