This team is part of DRWs initiative to take a leadership role in the Canton Network, a new blockchain network designed for financial and business transactions backed by DRW and many other high-profile companies in finance. This teams mandate is to rapidly develop and launch new products in this emerging space. Location: Chicago, New York, Houston.  Open to remote for the right candidate. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and maintain full-stack web applications (front-end and back-end).</li> <li>Design, build, and deploy responsive and scalable applications using modern web technologies.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.</li> <li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to company standards and best practices.</li> <li>Manage databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and design schemas that are efficient and scalable.</li> <li>Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance the functionality of the product.</li> <li>Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.</li> <li>Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain existing software applications.</li> <li>Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code is maintained.</li> <li>Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in software development.</li> <li>Contribute to project planning, sprint cycles, and team collaboration.</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>7+ years of software development experience, with significant experience in full stack development</li> <li>Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React.js, Angular, or Vue.js preferred).</li> <li>Solid understanding of back-end technologies, such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or PHP.</li> <li>Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.</li> <li>Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.</li> <li>Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.</li> <li>Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.</li> <li>Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li>Experience with microservices architecture.</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.</li> <li>Experience working in an Agile development environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with DevOps practices.</li> <li>Knowledge of blockchain or cryptocurrency technologies</li> <li>Haskell or functional programming experience.</li> </ul> The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
