<h2>Role Description</h2> <p>As a Software Engineer on the Connectors Platform team at Dash, you’ll help build the data ingestion platform that powers Dropbox’s AI-driven products - designed to handle and process massive volumes of data with reliability, security, and scalability at its core. Check out our blog post on this topic and more </span><span><a href="https://dropbox.tech/culture/sharing-our-engineering-career-framework-with-the-world" target="_blank">here</a></span><span>.</span></p> </div> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li><span>Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions for AI-powered applications.</span></li> <li><span>Design and implement algorithms to optimize data ingestion, manage third-party rate limits, and enhance sync throughput and performance.</span></li> <li><span>Develop and enhance platform capabilities to accelerate the creation and deployment of third-party integrations.</span></li> <li><span>Improve critical metrics such as sync success rate, throughput, data completeness, and freshness to ensure a high-quality user experience.</span></li> <li><span>Empower enterprise customers to build custom connectors by leveraging indexing APIs and tailored connector capabilities.</span></li> <li><span>Contribute to a collaborative team environment by participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers to promote growth and excellence.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><span>On-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers.</span></span></p> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li><span>5+ years of experience</span><span> as a backend or full-stack engineer, with a focus on delivering scalable and reliable solutions.</span></li> <li><span>Strong expertise in backend development technologies such as </span><span>Golang</span><span> and </span><span>Python.</span></li> <li><span>Extensive experience </span><span>working with</span> <span>large-scale distributed systems</span><span>.</span></li> <li><span>Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate user requirements into effective technical solutions.</span></li> <li><span>Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</span></li> </ul> <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2> <ul> <li><span>BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding</span> <span>(e.g.,</span><span> physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with building third party app integrations.</span></li> <li><span>Working experience in frontend frameworks like </span><span>React.</span></li> <li><span>Excited about building 0→1. Comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting in direction.</span></li> <li><span>Not satisfied with status quo.
