Drawing on your deep technical expertise of Dremio and the data/analytics ecosystem, as well as exceptional communication skills, you will listen, advise, and enable your assigned customers in maintaining a reliable Dremio cluster and facilitating their successful development of Dremio solutions through exceptional high-touch interactions with the customer developers and administrators. What you’ll be doing <ul> <li>Application Architecture: tailor reference architectures to provide performance, resilient, scalable, secure, distributed architectures which can exceed SLAs and are easily maintained.</li> <li>Data Modeling: design and test data models which are pragmatic, performant, and scalable.</li> <li>Application Implementation: show the customer how to write robust and scalable data access code that correctly utilizes drivers.</li> <li>Infrastructure: help the customer select on-premise hardware or cloud instance types based on workload and capacity assessments.</li> <li>Production Operations: help the customer deploy, configure, secure, maintain, monitor, scale, troubleshoot, test and tune Enterprise clusters.</li> <li>Instructive Consulting: in response to customer questions, provide ad-hoc instruction that is shaped by the customer’s specific environment, requirements and constraints.</li> <li>Steer conversations architecturally by embedding yourself into the customer account to avoid pitfalls and keep the customer on track to deliver solutions according to prescribed best practices. This will require you to have up-to-date knowledge of the customer’s internal roadmap for Dremio and will include hosting regular office hours sessions and performing technical reviews, PRD reviews, environment reviews, script reviews as the roadmap executes and evolves.</li> <li>Identifying Needs: bring in the sales team when the customer will benefit from a services or license purchase / expansion.</li> <li>A Team Effort: collaborate with other roles in Dremio Technical Support, Pre-Sales, Sales, etc. to ensure our customer is successful.</li> </ul> What we’re looking for <ul> <li>8+ years experience providing trusted advisor-level service in a Professional Services capacity</li> <li>Lifetime learner, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task during high-pressure situations</li> <li>In-depth, current, hands-on knowledge of ANSI SQL, particularly advanced SQL techniques used in analytic contexts, is a must.</li> <li>Data architecture, data modeling, warehousing concepts.  Deep understanding of data architectures that support reporting and analytics use cases.</li> <li>Performance techniques for accelerating Reporting / Dashboarding use cases (OLAP, Materialized Views, etc)</li> <li>Docker and Kubernetes configuration and troubleshooting, including Helm charts, storage options, logging, and basic kubectl CLI (AKS / EKS / OpenShift)</li> <li>Authentication and security configuration and tuning (LDAP, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, second priority: SSO/OAuth/OIDC, Ranger/Sentry)</li> <li>Python scripting and interactions with REST APIs</li> <li>Linux, including application installation, scripting, basic command line</li> <li>Experience with ETL concepts, techniques, pipelines, tools, challenges</li> <li>Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) and performance considerations</li> <li>SQL Engine knowledge: Hive / Trino / Spark / etc</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to present on technical topics to various levels within the enterprise</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 30%</li> <li>Fluent English and German</li> </ul>  Bonus points if you have <ul> <li>dbt experience</li> <li>BI Tool experience (Power BI / Tableau etc)</li> <li>Fluency in an additional European language</li> </ul> #LI-Germany #LI-EH1<div><h3>What we value </h3> At Dremio, we hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to People, Thinking, and Action.
