The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Application Development.What you will do:<ul><li>Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Adaptive Planning models, sheets and dashboards for enterprise-level forecast planning</li><li>Develop custom integrations between Adaptive Planning and other custom solutions using Java, Python, Custom Cloud Loader and RESTful APIs.</li><li>Design and develop and provide oversight for web solutions for our existing and new platform.</li><li>Analyze user stories, provide realistic estimations, and participate in sprint planning, scrums, demos, and retrospectives.</li><li>Collaborate with product, and other stakeholders in defining solutions that are scalable, easily maintainable and within the expected budget and timeline.</li><li>Create detailed software development documentation and assist in assigning tasks to team members.</li><li>Build well-designed, well-engineered, stable, performant applications using Java, Angular, and Node JS</li><li>Guide and mentor other team members by providing oversight and direction.</li><li>Recommend improvements to processes, technologies, and coding practices that improve the teams effectiveness.</li><li>Strong ability to maintain focus and problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment working with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Keep up to date with the current technologies and latest trends, be able to innovate and provide creative solutions to existing and new problems.</li></ul>Technologies we use:<ul><li>Java, Angular, Node JS, the Spring Framework, Services/MicroServices Architecture, cloud experience (AWS), Relational Database Skills (Maria DB), Docker, monitoring/logging tools (e.g. Splunk, AppDynamics), Vault</li></ul>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills:<ul><li>At least 5 years of experience building highly scalable and performant production level applications.</li><li>Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model building, reporting and systems integration.</li><li>Strong knowledge of REST APIs, data transformation, and enterprise reporting tools.</li><li>Hands-on expertise in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data pipelines.</li><li>Experience in the entire development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, analysis, and product launch. </li><li>Proven collaboration skills and ability to communicate about software processes, architectures, and design patterns across various teams. </li><li>Experience mentoring junior team members and the ability to deliver encouraging and constructive feedback. </li><li>Experience working in an Agile Team consisting of product managers, project managers, design, QA, and tech. </li><li>Excellent communication skills required to interact with senior leaders, technical colleagues, and partners. </li><li>Self-motivated, quick learner. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and analysis skills. </li><li>Strong knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration. </li><li>Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring distributed production systems. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience in Licensing Financial Systems</li><li>Background in data engineering or applied AI in enterprise environments.</li></ul>Required Education:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field/work experience</li></ul>Ability to provide technical oversight to an offshore development team during the full-cycle development of Adaptive Planning and Portal enhancements and sustainment. This role should have custom integrations between Adaptive Planning and other custom solutions using Java, Python, Custom Cloud Loader and RESTful APIs. Additional experience in cloud application architecture, core programming language in Java, and extensive knowledge in relational database, application performance tuning.#DISNEYTECHThe hiring range for this position in Glendale California is $140,000-$170,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
