This includes product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, engineering behind personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity.             Job Summary:As a Software Engineer focused on Fantasy Sports, you will be part of a diverse and talented organization focused on building and maintaining complex web applications for ESPN.com.  You will be a member of a team building the world’s #1 fantasy sports products working with modern server-side and web technologies such as JavaScript, Node and React to deliver scalable and elegant solutions for new product features and core site architecture.                                                         Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:<ul><li>Build features and modules that are used by millions of fans</li><li>Develop and enhance core site functionality using JavaScript and React</li><li>Implement best practices to continually increase performance and scalability</li><li>Work with product and project management to refine specs and timelines</li><li>Partner with other engineering teams to deliver best solutions</li><li>Build features, maintain existing code, and fix bugs in Javascript and React</li><li>Participate in the code review process</li></ul>                 Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven understanding of front-end web development technologies and principles</li><li>Knowledge of JavaScript, React, JS frameworks, and server-side templating</li><li>Driven and self-motivated</li><li>3+ years relevant industry experience             </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Passion for sports</li><li>Experience with fantasy sports and an understanding of their game mechanics</li><li>Experience with task automation (Grunt, Gulp, WebPack) and CSS Preprocessors (Less, Sass) a plus</li></ul>Experience with:<ul><li>Javascript</li><li>React</li></ul>Required Education  <ul><li>BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or its equivalent</li></ul>#DisneyTECHThe hiring range for this position in New York City is $120,300.00 to $161,300.00 per year and in Connecticut and California is $114,900.00 to $154,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
