Product Engineering is a unified team responsible for the engineering of Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms. This includes product engineering, media engineering, quality assurance, engineering behind personalization, commerce, lifecycle, and identity.
Marketing Technology (MarTech) is looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer to join the Marketing Technology Engineering team to help build internal tools using your coding and data skills to write and test code that delivers enhancements and new features for our applications portfolio.
The team is responsible for building our internal CMS that helps stakeholders across design, marketing, and front-end engineering within Disney Entertainment to create and manage landing pages on various platforms (Roku, Playstation, browser-based devices, etc.) for Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu business teams.
We are a fast paced and fast-growing team, where you will have an opportunity to learn about the international landscape of marketing landing pages and create AI-powered internal tools to drive efficiency of the collaborative workflows between our design, marketing, data, and engineering stakeholders as we drive growth for our streaming services around the world.
Responsibilities
Build full stack tools for Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu to improve creative workflows between marketing, design, and data for all international markets.
Work in React/Redux, Typescript, Vue.js, Next.js, Java/Scala, Amazon Web Services, SQL and no-SQL databases.
Abstract common functionalities like SSO, auditing/logging, change history and others into a module/component library that can be pulled into various applications.
Data Modeling for various domains and applications developed by the team.
Be involved in code reviews and architecture review for team members.
Participate in Agile methodology and SCRUM processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Standups and Retrospectives with the team.
Own features/functionality and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and robust architecture.
Communicate and work with multi-functional business partners.
Ramp up on new domains and technologies.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
Good grasp of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming paradigms.
Experience working with at least one Object Oriented Language
Experience working on relational databases.
Experience with Javascript technologies.
Strong motivation in picking up new domains and writing and shipping well-tested code.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building or using AI tools and AI-powered workflows.
Experience working with NoSQL databases.
Experience working with complex internal tools.
ReactJS and Redux experience.
Functional programming experience.
Prior experience with AWS products and services or other public cloud providers.
