Were looking for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and possesses a unique blend of artistic sensibility and deep technical acumen, particularly with Houdini and Solaris USD.<h3></h3><h3>What youll do:</h3><ul><li>Responsible for creating 3D environments, both photorealistic and stylized.</li><li>Performing layout and set dressing of environments using 3D assets.</li><li>Ensuring published environments function correctly in the pipeline.</li><li>Contribute to the development of department tools and workflows in collaboration with HoD and pipeline engineers.</li><li>Work with the lighting department to ensure environments render efficiently and without errors.</li><li>Responsible for presenting lit and shaded environments for feedback.</li><li>Working with lead environment artists to address any creative or technical feedback.</li><li>Participating in team reviews of work under development.</li><li>Meeting defined milestones within a timeline by attending dailies and participating in creative problem-solving.  </li></ul><h3>What were looking for:</h3>Were seeking a Senior Technical Environment Artist who embodies technical excellence and has a proven track record of innovation:<ul><li>Proven experience with designing workflows in large production pipelines.</li><li>Highly experienced with building tools/HDAs in Houdini.</li><li>Experience with USD and Solaris.</li><li>Experience with streamlining large production scenes across packages.</li><li>Proficiency with scripting/automation.</li><li>Proven track record contributing to photorealistic CG landscapes.</li><li>Proficiency with procedural set dressing and scattering systems, including Layout.</li><li>Technically proficient, self-motivated, proactive, and enjoys problem-solving.</li><li>Engages in the creative process with an inclusive and encouraging approach.</li><li>Excellent time keeping skills, attention to targets and deadlines.</li><li>Understanding of visual language - texture, colour, dimension, scale, perspective, lighting, shade, composition depth of field, proportion, etc.</li></ul>As part of your application please submit a demo reel, shot breakdown, or equivalent showcasing your work.
