In addition to shipping great work, we are equally committed to a design culture that is inspiring, collaborative, and fun – and this person will also have leadership opportunities to shape how we work. Key Responsibilities:Senior Product Designers at Disney are resourceful, imaginative problem solvers who collaborate inclusively with a range of engineering, product management, and other teammates and stakeholders throughout the design process. In this role, you will work independently across multiple projects, both build 0-1 solutions and optimize existing functionality, and apply in-depth knowledge about best-practices and evolving technologies. Specifically, the person in this role will be expected to:<ul><li>Take full ownership of projects that involve end-to-end features or products within a clearly scoped set of product requirements</li><li>Design intuitive, easy-to-understand user experiences that enhance the overall product</li><li>Create and iterate on flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas </li><li>Actively contribute to product-level decision-making by participating in team meetings, cross-functional groups, and collaborative feedback sessions</li><li>Consistently deliver work that is well-thought-out and aligned with project goals</li><li>Demonstrate sustained productivity and meet project deadlines by accurately estimating the time required for tasks</li><li>Set an example for designers in your orbit through mentorship and open, honest feedback</li></ul>Qualifications:As an applicant to this role, we ask that your portfolio demonstrates:<ul><li>5+ years of relevant industry experience</li><li>Experience shipping high-utility mobile or desktop applications, simplifying complex user flows, or delivering new product innovation that disrupted conventions</li><li>Expert understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices</li><li>Self-motivated problem solving with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively</li><li>Hunger for innovation, fluidity with ideas, eagerness to challenge the status quo</li><li>Strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills</li><li>Strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and collaborate well with others</li><li>Ability to design within design guides and contribute to design language</li><li>Expert knowledge of Figma and/or other design tools</li><li>BA/BS or equivalent experience required</li></ul>The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $138,500.00 to $185,600.00 per year, in New York, NY is $132,500.00 to $177,600.00 per year, and in Santa Monica, CA is $126,400.00 to $169,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
