The role supports a wide variety of operational broadcast systems that provide remote video transmission, communications, monitoring and various technical support for the entire line up of award-winning ABC News’ shows and platforms including Good Morning America, World News Tonight With David Muir, GMA3, The View, and Nightline. This posting is an opportunity to submit your resume for future consideration; this is not a role that is open at this time. If the role becomes available, you may receive an email or call from a recruiter.Requirements:<ul><li>5 years of experience in TV Engineering with an emphasis on field broadcast work</li><li>Thorough knowledge of field equipment including but not limited to Broadcast and/or Digital video cameras, wireless/hardwire mics and IFB, field lights, supporting equipment and various cable types used in broadcast setups (SDI, HDMI, XLR, etc.)</li><li>Expert-level knowledge necessary to perform maintenance, installation, and occasional board and/or component level repair of broadcast equipment</li><li>Familiarity working with hardware and broadcast systems that are commonly used across the broadcast television industry including Haivision encoding/decoding, Clearcom LQ systems, Pepwave, Freespeak, VisLink and other RF centric hardware and software equipment</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with broadcast/multimedia systems in our production environments</li><li>Exceptional collaboration and problem-solving skills</li><li>Able to travel domestically and internationally</li><li>Process oriented and able to apply structure to complex problems</li><li>Ability to work various shifts and weekends Event coverage and location-based production frequently require extended hours, evening or weekend work in a fastpaced 24/7 news environment.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain and operate all remote production ENG equipment:</li><li>Field Control Room Systems o Camera Control Systems o Robotic cameras o Field audio and video</li><li>IT based audio, video, and communications o Encoder/decoder transmission equipment</li><li>Operate ENG/SNG Satellite truck</li><li>Assist in system design, purchasing, vetting, constructing and commissioning new technologies in the field</li></ul>This role will be covered by the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians –Communication Workers of America - ABC collective bargaining agreement.The pay rate for this role in Secaucus, NJ is $63 per hour.
