Join a team dedicated to upholding the legacy of imagination, innovation, and magic. </div><div>Summary </div><div>The Communications Operations Manager is a crucial role within the Communications department at The Walt Disney Studios, responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of internal events, vendor management, and project coordination. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, proactively identify and resolve issues, and work effectively with cross-functional teams. </div><div>Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Event Management: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events for employees, including town halls, large scale internal events, conferences, leadership events, and other types of events. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, purchasing, and attendee registration. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Track event expenses. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Post-event evaluation and reporting on event success. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Vendor Management: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors related to events, including caterers, A/V companies, activity companies, and others. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance aligns with expectations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Assess vendor documentation, including insurance requirements and other relevant certifications. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage vendor invoices. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Project Coordination: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Communicate project updates to stakeholders. </li></ul></div></div><div><div>Qualifications: </div><div><ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field or equivalent work experience. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, project coordination, or a related field. Experience in a Communications department is a plus. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Skills: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent organizational and project management skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with Kanban-like project management methodologies and tools. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Detail-oriented and able to work independently. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Preferred qualifications: </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with graphic design, video editing, social media marketing, and A/V production; including live streaming, video capture, editing, and video streaming tools. </li></ul></div></div>The hiring range for this position in California is $112,700.00 to $154,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
