Our team, within Disney Platform Distribution, works with leading media companies like Amazon Music, SiriusXM, Spotify, iHeart, Audacy, local station operators and more. Above all, they think big, learn quickly, and approach every challenge with enthusiasm.The ideal candidate will exhibit a deep understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape exceptional solution-oriented, problem-solving skills, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for The Walt Disney Company.Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support partnership negotiations on assigned accounts and potential new entrants by assisting in the creation of materials intended for consensus-building across programming, marketing, legal, operations, ad sales, and other key business units.</li><li>Collaborate with the Senior Manager to manage all stages of the distribution lifecycle, such as affiliate acquisition, engagement/retention, technical cooperation, joint marketing initiatives, roadmap planning, and more.</li><li>Negotiate, secure and maintain radio affiliations for TWDC Audio products to a myriad of assigned and new business accounts; initial focus on smaller accounts and lead generation, which will increase with growth in the role.</li><li>Execute account management responsibilities, including maintaining contact lists, development of working relationships with account personnel, and addressing partner needs.</li><li>Execute agreement process from negotiation through contract signatures by working with legal, business affairs, operations, and other groups as required.</li><li>Compile, summarize, and present intricate business updates based on account activity and the needs of the team.</li><li>Support the Platform Distribution Sales team and assigned partners daily and assist in the implementation of new and ongoing sales initiatives for designated partners.</li><li>Assist the team in crafting sales presentations, providing account updates to the executive team, monthly reporting, and other materials to further business initiatives.</li><li>Create, maintain, and refresh team documents and trackers, ensuring that all pertinent information is up-to-date and accessible.</li><li>Foster a robust internal network of Walt Disney Company colleagues to facilitate self-learning and bolster job function support.</li><li>Growth in this role includes opportunities to manage select accounts and partnership initiatives while expanding new business opportunities across designated accounts.</li></ul>Required experience:<ul><li>At least 3 years of sales, partnership, business development or business affairs experience.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Understanding of the media industry landscape, including competitors and current trends. Knowledge of the radio broadcasting industry including markets, stations, owners, and trends is a plus.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to assist the team with account and client management.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.</li><li>Analytical thinker, capable of evaluating complex information, breaking it down into component parts, and capable of making recommendations.</li><li>Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with internal/external partners, manage competing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proven ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.</li><li>Understanding of research, ratings, and experience with software to enable such.  Familiarity with ABC Audio programming is a plus.</li><li>Limited travel required outside of primary office location, including in-person client visits and events held in various cities outside of primary location. </li><li>Maintain resources related to key partners including deal summaries, industry overviews, and marketplace summaries informing deal strategies.</li><li>Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) in partnership support.</li><li>Account negotiation and executive material prep.</li></ul>#DISNEYPLATFORMDISTRIBUTIONThe hiring range for this position in NYC, NY is $109,800 - $134,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
