This role will report directly to the VP of Developer Relations and work closely with our Growth, Product and Engineering organizations.</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Create code and content that educates developers so they can be successful with DigitalOcean</strong>. The code and content will drive our business through authentic engagement with developers. It will also serve as a key input into constantly improving our developer experience. The content can be in the form of written tutorials, videos, workshops, social media posts and any other mediums that developers care about.</li> <li><strong>Provide insightful and meaningful feedback to Product teams based on your usage of the products. </strong>The best way to improve developer experience is to show rather than tell, so a significant portion of this work will involve building with our platform to identify rough edges and weaknesses that need to be improved.</li> <li><strong>Guide and mentor the Developer Relations individuals and teams</strong> based on your experience for how to best serve developers.</li> <li><strong>Decide how to scale our developer relations efforts.</strong> As we see success with our execution in videos, events, workshops, and other tactics, we’ll need to figure out the best way to invest in efficiently and effectively scaling up those executions to authentically serve even more developers.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Significant experience in at least one major programming language such as Python, JavaScript/Type, Java or C#, along with a breadth of experience with several other programming ecosystems</li> <li>Demonstrated previous experience in creating publicly-available high quality, customer-facing technical content such as videos, written content, research publications</li> <li>Self-starter attitude, empathetic, and motivated to serve developers and make the colleagues around you better</li> </ul> <h2>Compensation Range: </h2> <ul> <li>$167,400 - $209,300</li> </ul> <p>*This is a remote role.</p> <p><em>#LI-Remote</em></p><div><h2><strong>Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>We innovate with purpose. </strong>You’ll be a part of a cutting-edge technology company with an upward trajectory, who are proud to simplify cloud and AI so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world.
