This highly cross-functional role partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to uncover user insights, inform product strategy, and measure the success of features. You will own analytics projects end-to-end—from data modeling and instrumentation planning to experimentation and communicating insights that drive product decisions.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead product analytics initiatives that inform roadmap prioritization, user behavior insights, and product performance.</li> <li>Build and maintain robust dbt models and data pipelines in Snowflake to support self-serve product metrics and scalable experimentation.</li> <li>Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define success metrics, track user engagement, and surface opportunities for product improvements.</li> <li>Design and execute deep-dive analyses and A/B tests to evaluate feature performance, product-market fit, retention, and growth levers.</li> <li>Serve as a strategic thought partner in product development cycles, surfacing insights that shape how we build and iterate on the product.</li> <li>Ensure high standards of data quality, documentation, and governance in partnership with data engineering and analytics teams.</li> <li>Drive automation and repeatability in product analytics processes and reporting frameworks.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or a related analytics field, ideally within a B2B SaaS or consumer technology company.</li> <li>Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data sets in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.</li> <li>Hands-on experience building and maintaining dbt models in a production environment.</li> <li>Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to turn data into actionable product insights.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills—you’re comfortable translating technical findings into compelling narratives for product and business audiences.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience with product instrumentation and event tracking tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment).</li> <li>Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Sigma.</li> <li>Knowledge of experimentation frameworks and experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.</li> <li>Understanding of product lifecycle metrics such as activation, engagement, retention, and churn.</li> <li>Experience mentoring other analysts or managing product analytics projects end-to-end.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>We innovate with purpose. </strong>You’ll be a part of a cutting-edge technology company with an upward trajectory, who are proud to simplify cloud and AI so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
