Reporting to the Capacity Planning Manager, this individual will be working with cross functional stakeholders and leveraging demand forecasts to ensure the availability of data center space and power. You will also have the opportunity to analyze data and make recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and deploy the necessary infrastructure to satisfy customer growth.</p> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Maintain detailed tracking of data center rack and power capacity, leveraging deployment forecasts to determine space runout dates</li> <li>Align within Capacity Planning and other across other Internal Teams to gather deployment forecasts and understand how deployments align with strategic business objectives</li> <li>Analyze data in Grafana and Looker to understand trends and support the Capacity Planning team with deployment forecasts</li> <li>Build dashboards to provide new insights and deepen our understanding of customer behavior</li> <li>Identify opportunities to redistribute hardware and collaborate with Operations teams to complete redeployment projects</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Key Metrics:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You will be primarily responsible for tracking and reporting data center rack and power availability</li> <li>You will add support to the management of Core DO product capacity and availability</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Prior experience tracking and forecasting space and power requirements, preferably for data centers or in a similar industry</li> <li>Strong understanding of using Google Sheets to build and update models used to generate reports</li> <li>Experience with SQL and Looker, or other data visualization tools, to generate ad-hoc reports and insights</li> <li>Bonus: Knowledge of infrastructure concepts (servers, virtualization, resource allocation) or interest in learning</li> <li>Bonus: Experience with Python for building automated modeling and tools</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean:</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>We innovate with purpose.</strong> You’ll be a part of a cutting-edge technology company with an upward trajectory, who are proud to simplify cloud and AI so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world.
