<h2>Job Description:</h2>Job Title Technology Management Lead Corporate Title Vice PresidentLocation New York  OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled reliability engineer to provide critical support for the Rates desk with their trading and risk applications, In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of real-time trading systems by applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, You will engage directly with Traders, Strats, and Development teams to optimize trading workflows, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement in both processes and the environment.The role is ideal for a problem solver who can thrive under pressure, balance technical ability with business acumen, and communicate effectively with the trading desks, The team follows technology policies for change, incident, and problem management with roles and responsibilities clearly defined, You will ensure that support procedures and activities are diligently followed and suitably documented.As a member of the team, you will also ensure applications are maintained and monitored to provide a stable environment for all users. You will help develop and mentor junior team members to foster an engineering culture that seeks to automate and reduce manual effort to minimize risk and costs.What We Offer You <ul><li>A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days</li><li>Competitive salary and non-contributory pension</li><li>30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days</li><li>Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family</li><li>A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme, and Gym benefits, The opportunity to support a wide-ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year</li></ul>What You’ll Do<ul><li>Act as the first line of defence for app trading systems, resolving production incidents promptly to minimize downtime and financial impact</li><li>Conduct root cause analysis and blameless post mortems, implement or drive the solutioning of preventative measures for recurring issues</li><li>Provide clear communications to business and senior technologists on incidents and follow-ups</li><li>Own improvements to Rates application health monitoring, and automation, driving down manual effort on your supported platforms</li><li>Drive cost optimisation and capacity resource management to ensure efficient use of resources and cost-effective solutions</li><li>Deliver both business and technology related benefits by aligning reliability engineering practices with business goals and partnering with developers to design and deploy scalable fault-tolerant solutions to meet evolving business needs</li></ul>How You’ll Lead<ul><li>Manage Product Owners and other members of the Agile product team</li><li>Collaborate with other Deutsche Bank application teams, group architecture and business partners to drive adoption of applications</li></ul>Skills You’ll Need<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required</li><li>Substantial experience in reliability engineering and supporting front office business users in the financial services industry</li><li>Strong technical skills in Linux/Unix systems, Structured Query Language (SQL), and scripting</li></ul>Skills That Will Help You Excel <ul><li>Experience with a programming language such as Python, Java, etc</li><li>Knowledge of fixed income products (bonds, swaps), related market events, market data feeds (Reuters/Bloomberg), and an understanding of the trading lifecycle (order routing, execution, and settlement)</li><li>Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos)</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired in this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodation for candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in New York is $125,000 to $203,000.
