The organization is in process of transforming itself using Google Cloud, and we are responsible for creating SRE capabilities for multiple Compliance applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As an SRE Engineer, you will be working to improve the reliability of application hosted on GCP environment &amp; to improve the operational efficiency by automation and setting up monitoring, identifying TOIL within the teams existing systems and processes, recommending, and implementing automated solutions to reduce TOIL and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.What We Offer You <ul><li>A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration</li><li>A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days</li><li>Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement</li><li>Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits</li><li>Educational resources, matching gift and volunteer programs</li></ul>What You’ll Do <ul><li>Working as part of Agile team to define target state infrastructure architecture of applications from reliability standpoint</li><li>Develop, improve, and maintain internal operations tools, such as deployment, monitoring, statistics, platform management tools, etc</li><li>Automation and optimization of application build and deployment process and perform deployment on testing and production environments</li><li>Continuous integration/continuous deployment or development (CI/CD) pipeline setup and management</li><li>Approach support with a proactive attitude, desire to seek root cause, in-depth analysis, and strive to reduce inefficiencies and manual efforts</li></ul>Skills You’ll Need <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent is required.</li><li>Moderate experience as SRE engineer in technology organization driving projects by defining and creation of CUJ, SLO, SLI, Error Budgeting.</li><li>Strong experience in setting up observability, monitoring and self-healing solutions for instance with New Relic, Splunk, Google Cloud Operations and Ansible / Terraform or comparable tools.</li><li>Experience in resilient software development in JAVA and/or JavaScript and the usage of modern CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Bitbucket, Github, and GitHub Actions, Docker.</li><li>Proactive attitude and collaborative Team player mindset paired with self-confidence. Ability to collaborate and problem solve across teams.</li><li>Hands on experience on release tools like Maven, Ant, Gradle, Puppet , Jenkins, TeamCity, udeploy.</li></ul>Skills That Will Help You Excel<ul><li>Experience on implementing SRE practices on Google Cloud Platform.</li><li>Able to train, coach, and mentor and know where each technique is best applied</li><li>Understanding of architecture and implementation of three tier web applications</li><li>Experience with GCP or another public cloud provider to build applications</li><li>Experience in an investment bank, financial institution or large corporation using enterprise hardware and software</li></ul>ExpectationsIt is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $78,000 to $111,800. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
