Senior Business Analyst
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

Securities Services business provides Custody services and Fund Accounting for institutional investors. Corporates and Institutions investing globally must adapt to market infrastructure change and new technological innovations, as well as cope with a changing regulatory landscape. To thrive in this complex world, they need smarter custody solutions, that focus on their specific post-trade goals and data that empowers them to improve their efficiency.
Our current work includes strategic, greenfield development around common and reference Custody data, in standard formats, providing as much as possible also a single place for custody data management, that should increase consistency, prevent data quality problems, and minimize future changes to other domain consumers, when systems are aligned to bank wide strategic data sources.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complete solutions in cooperation with the scrum teams to deliver new components, microservices as part of a global strategic initiative (Custody Transformation)
- Complete data migration from former systems to the newly developed ones.
- Close collaboration with Product Owners, Team Leads, Squad Members and Domain Architect to ensure consistency across domain, target architecture
- Working closely the relevant Operations, Business, Technology stakeholders within other squads and across tribes
- Act as a contact person for all software development-related topics and questions - both from the developers (by actively coaching them) or from the other team members.
- Shaping the future of our technology stack and applying it innovatively to solve complex problems.
- Active involvement in transfer knowledge sessions, documenting, reviews, and coaching team members
- Continuous improvement our scalability, stability of the components by leveraging emerging tools and technologies, code quality tools and automation testing
- Develop new data models in JSON, XML formats
- Help to design, mock-up different web UI screens in collaboration with Operations, Business and UX designer
- Describe different process flows using diagrams and suggest automation of these flows
Skills
- Strong technical background, ideally few years’ experiences as a Business Analyst.
- Knowledge in different data formats and models (JSON, XML, AVRO) and data related technologies, patterns, versioning, SDP, modelling tools, data migrations, data quality.
- Analysis and verification of new E2E requirements which are spanning across different squads and Tribes
- UI and web front ends patterns,
- You will challenge as-is processes, foster out-of-the-box thinking and propose / outline sustainable solution options
- Transform the requirements to user stories and acceptance criteria into JIRA stories
- Responsible to document the requirements, process workflows etc. on confluence when needed
- Discover and evaluate new digitalisation opportunities in close collaboration with Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects and Lead Engineers
- You initiate and help to coordinate complex and large projects, and you ensure consistency by cross-squad coordination of requirements and Book of Work scope items
- Nice to have: Architecture styles, communication, and enterprise integration protocols (REST API’s)
- Nice to have: Experience with distributed environments and asynchronous systems
- A passion for constantly learning, documenting and applying new technologies in a constantly evolving environment
- Nice to have: GCP, Figma knowledge.
