The base compensation range for this position for candidates in the SF Bay Area is: $140,000 - 210,000. For all other locations, the base compensation range is based on the primary work location of the candidate as our ranges are location specific. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset, years of experience, and depth of experience. About the Role:  Demandbase is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Data Products team and work in close partnership with Product to shape the next generation of B2B data delivery. Our customers rely on Demandbase data to power their GTM strategies, and this role will be instrumental in designing and delivering the infrastructure and APIs that make that possible. This is a rare opportunity to help define and launch new data products from the ground up, while working alongside an experienced product manager and business stakeholders.   What youll be doing: <ul> <li>Collaborate with Product and other Engineers to build scalable data products and APIs </li> <li>Own and evolve schemas, data models, and pipelines for datasets like Buying Groups, Account Journeys, and Intent signals </li> <li>Drive architecture decisions and delivery for new datasets and partner integrations </li> <li>Bring a customer-centric mindset to engineering — ensure we’re building the right things, the right way </li> <li>Help us scale our data model configuration and generation infrastructure to meet growing demand </li> <li>Contribute to team culture, mentorship, and technical best practices</li> </ul> What were looking for: <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data systems, backend development, or APIs </li> <li>Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Python, Scala, Go, Java </li> <li>Experience in Frontend Technologies (preferably Typescript, React)</li> <li>Strong experience with data modeling, schema evolution, and ETL/ELT pipelines </li> <li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), databases (Postgres, BigQuery), and streaming (Kafka, PubSub) </li> <li>Experience building customer-facing APIs and/or data products </li> <li>A strong product mindset — excited to collaborate deeply with PMs and learn from customers </li> <li>Excellent communication skills and a bias for action</li> </ul> Bonus: <ul> <li>Experience with B2B or GTM data (e.g., technographics, firmographics, intent) </li> <li>Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices </li> <li>Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading projects</li> </ul> Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security.
