The modernization initiative will empower PowerScale to provide a composable, disaggregated, software-defined architecture with the capacity to store exabytes of data and deliver unparalleled performance.Join us as a Software Principal Engineer on our PowerScale team in Pune or Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.As a Software Principal Engineer in the Unstructured Data Storage Protocols group, you will be part of a scrum team, which is focused on developing core software for our PowerScale systems / Dell Storage system which supports big data What you’ll achieve  As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software based on customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.     You will:  <ul><li>Design and build solutions to complex technical problems on Isilon OneFS that deal with high scale, concurrency, and performance to enhance our customer’s ability to access and manage multiple petabytes of data. </li><li>Provide technical leadership and share experiences and skills to aid team members in enhancing their professional skills and career </li><li>Brings quality and customer-first mindset and influences roadmap with leadership skills, contribute to the culture of quality throughout our broader engineering organization. </li><li>Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills across one or more teams to create a detailed design and provide a high-quality implementation. </li><li>Possess an aptitude exploring new technologies and understanding how to apply them to new product releases and in customer facing support scenarios. </li></ul>  Take the first step towards your dream career  Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:    Essential Requirements  <ul><li>BS in Computer Science or related technical field, and 8-12 years industry experience with network or storage protocols, Windows systems software development, or related field. </li><li>Expert knowledge of system software written in C or C++.  Additional experience with Python is preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns. </li><li>Solid understanding of the Windows operating environment such as drivers, mini-filters, system configuration, memory management, system calls, inter-process IPC or remote-procedure RPC calls, multiplexed I/O and concurrency models. </li><li>Knowledge of distributed software systems, experience with network file systems or object protocols such as SMB, NFS, or S3 interfaces in shippable software/services is highly desired</li></ul>   Desirable Requirements  <ul><li>Any experience with Antivirus software development and scanning</li></ul>Who we areWe believe that each of us has the power to make an impact.
