This role supports Deel internal employee payroll and contractor payments in the US. The PRM must drive for operational efficiency and excellence, accuracy, and overall team member experience. Payroll is one of our most critical areas of delivery to ensure high engagement and satisfaction working at Deel.What Youll Do<ul><li>Prepare &amp; process US payroll on according to payroll schedule for our team members across multiple entities;</li><li>Prepare and process independent contractor payments for workers in the US;</li><li>Establish and maintain payroll records;</li><li>Verify payroll records are in compliance with established standards - familiarity with SOC and SOX compliance required;</li><li>Make changes in the pay and tax status of employees;</li><li>Prepare error-free payroll-related management reports for accounting purposes;</li><li>Work cross-functionally with Deel Global Payroll Operations, Finance and People Teams to ensure proper taxation, reporting, etc for applicable entities;</li><li>Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely;</li><li>Understand proper tax treatment and processing requirements for wages and employer paid benefits;<ul><li>Garnishments</li><li>Bonuses</li><li>Stock Transactions</li><li>Gross-Ups</li></ul></li><li>Receive and document any necessary approvals prior to processing any non-standard payments;</li><li>Prepare and generate required payroll compliance filings for labor, pay, and tax reporting;</li><li>Process accurate and timely year-end reporting;</li><li>Process manual pay cycles when needed.</li></ul>What Youll NeedYou will need deep knowledge of payroll best practices and prior experience with payroll products and payroll laws in the US to be successful in this role.What You Bring<ul><li>Minimum of five (5) years experience calculating and processing payroll in assigned countries or region</li><li>CPP/FPC preferred</li><li>Experience with state/entity registration preferred</li><li>Experience processing payroll for multiple entities is required</li><li>Experience processing payroll for multiple states is required, including states with locals</li><li>Experience working in enterprise payroll technology such as Workday, Deel, SAP, ADP, etc is highly preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of accounting principles, ability to understand impact of payroll activity on financial statements and effectively partner with Finance in analyzing and explaining P&amp;L and Balance sheet variances.</li><li>Expert understanding of time-keeping and wage &amp; hour compliance requirements</li><li>Proficiency in Google Suite, specifically Sheets, Documents, and Slides highly preferred.</li><li>Ability to use mathematics to problem solve.</li><li>Ability to use logic and reasoning to approach problems, analyze solutions, and reach conclusions.</li><li>Able to work independently with minimal guidance and able to work as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent customer service/communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment without loss of accuracy of work product and output.</li><li>Excellent processing skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines successfully</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible</li><li>Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR successfully.</li><li>Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence.</li><li>High EQ, personal maturity, cultural awareness and compassion.</li><li>Knowledge and experience in technology businesses and familiarity with their global HR practices and policies.</li><li>Strong desire and preference to work in a fully remote, global environment and not in an office.</li></ul>Total RewardsOur workforce deserves fair and competitive pay that meets them where they are.
