About the Role:
Cypris is seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to join our sales team. In this role, youll be responsible for full-cycle sales—from outbound prospecting and discovery to closing new business with R&D and innovation leaders at B2B companies.

In this role, you will:
- Own the full sales cycle, with a focus on generating new business through outbound prospecting, demos, and closing
- Be responsible for consistent weekly pipeline generation and leverage modern sales tools to drive revenue growth
- Contact prospects via multiple sales channels such as cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to book discovery calls
- Partner with a Business Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel activity, conduct account mapping, and analyze account engagement strategies
- Identify, engage, and convert target accounts across industries investing in innovation and R&D
- Tailor product demos and proposals to clearly articulate the value of Cypris to stakeholders, including VPs of R&D and Innovation
- Collaborate closely with the Customer Success and Product teams to ensure a smooth handoff and long-term client satisfaction
- Build business cases to justify return on investment and demonstrate the business rationale for a purchase
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Maintain detailed pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting within Salesforce
A Key Candidate Will Have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a B2B SaaS sales role, ideally selling into mid-market and enterprise companies
- Proven success with MEDDIC and challenger sales methodologies
- Consistently achieved or exceeded annual sales quotas
- Brings a consultative approach to selling complex value propositions, effectively navigating multi-stakeholder, high-sophistication sales cycles
- Bachelor’s degree required; STEM background preferred
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong drive to contribute to collective goals and exceed shared targets
- Experience selling to technical or R&D buyers is a strong plus
- Strong outbound and discovery skills; comfortable cold-calling, prospecting, and building your own pipeline
- Proficiency with sales outreach tools like Salesloft, and prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or ZoomInfo
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline forecasting in Salesforce
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
