As a Staff Software Engineer, you will bring your experience and expertise to help your team build towards the best outcomes. As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will... <ul> <li>Help to drive the technical direction and architecture of Cribl Lake and Lakehouse, ensuring its scalability, performance, and maintainability</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver on product roadmaps and objectives</li> <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement</li> <li>Identify and mitigate technical risks and debt, ensuring the long-term health of the codebase</li> <li>Contribute to the development of best practices and engineering standards within the organization</li> <li>Optimize and extend the capabilities of Cribl Lake and Lakehouse, leveraging your expertise in distributed systems and cloud technologies</li> <li>This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties</li> </ul> If Youve Got It - We Want It <ul> <li>Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code (Node.js/TypeScript)</li> <li>Extensive experience in complex development environments, especially in large-scale highly available distributed systems and SaaS platforms</li> <li>Deep expertise in developing resilient and scalable backend services on cloud providers, preferably AWS</li> <li>Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Linux, and distributed systems</li> <li>Experience using assertion frameworks and tools like Mocha, Cypress, Jest to automate regression checks</li> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a track record of learning quickly</li> <li>Dedication to elegant and high-quality software</li> <li>Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers</li> <li>Passion for making engineers successful and finding fulfillment through the success of others</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as BitBucket, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.</li> <li>Broad range of experience implementing various cloud design patterns</li> <li>Experience with serverless / lambda-based implementations</li> <li>Willingness to speak your mind and share ideas</li> <li>Appreciation for humor and a love for goats</li> <li>Comfort working remotely</li> </ul> Salary Range ($195,000 - $240,000) The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location.
