As a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Credera, you will be a technical leader in a small team deployed to solve our client’s hardest problems. You will be responsible for helping the team design and estimate implementation tasks, leading implementation work streams, and mentoring junior team members.
On a typical day, you might expect to implement an API on AWS, automate infrastructure as code using Terraform, or collect and analyze data for cloud readiness and security assessments. You will also lead your team in client demos and other presentations to develop your leadership skills.
You will create amazing, custom software solutions that solve our clients most challenging problems using a combination of industry-standard and cutting-edge technologies. You will work on complex, high-volume software solutions that use open source frameworks and client-side technologies. A typical client engagement includes developing a rich UI in Angular, React, or NextJS, backed by a REST API powered by Spring Boot, Python, or .NET microservices deployed to major cloud provider platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
You will collaborate with a team of highly qualified and smart individuals to write efficient code, make code modifications, practice test-driven development, and identify, troubleshoot, and solve software defects. Our typical project length is about 6 months and typical team size is 6-8 engineers. We follow an agile methodology on all our projects.
When not working on client deliverables, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and support practice and company development through research and development, peer training, and reusable solution accelerator development.
WHO YOU ARE:
- An experienced and driven software engineer with 3-5 years of experience in consulting or a technical industry
- You enjoy collaborating with a smart and effective team that continually seeks to provide value over what is asked
- You often become a subject matter expert on a topic and are sought out by others on your team for your technical expertise and opinion
- You have a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and standards
- You are comfortable presenting technical concepts to a client audience, both business and technical
- You have a degree in Computer Science/MIS or similar work experience matching the above
For individuals hired to work in Colorado, Credera is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and includes the range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; etc. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would be near the top end of the compensation range, but that decision will be dependent on the facts associated with each specific individual’s relevant experience for the role.

Travel: For our consulting roles, our goal is to minimize travel, and most projects do not require extensive travel.
