Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

With industry-leading capabilities in battery management, remanufacturing, diagnostics, and valuation, EV Battery Solutions (EVBS) provides unmatched support for EV batteries throughout every step of their life cycle.  As a Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing the software that collects and manages the battery life cycle data in accordance with the product roadmap.  A successful candidate in this role will work with their team to develop and maintain applications, including implementation of new capabilities and features, improving performance and maintainability, and reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps.  This person has experience delivering quality software in an Agile environment.  This person has some experience leveraging AI to develop software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises personal responsibility and autonomy. Collaborates with more senior engineers on own work to meet given objectives and processes
  • Able to contribute to system design discussions, based on an understanding of client needs, architectural guidance, and project timelines.
  • Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Plans, schedules and monitors work to meet time and quality targets. Rapidly absorbs new information and applies it effectively.
  • Applies unit testing, monitoring and alerting, and code reviews to proactively deliver high quality features.
  • Maintains an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes some responsibility for driving own development.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Some related professional and/or internship experience strongly preferred.
  • Working experience in full-stack development, with preference given to PHP, jQuery, and Bootstrap, preferably with additional experience in another tech stack such as .Net or NodeJS.
  • Experience/Strong Curiosity in Gen AI.
  • Experience developing on AWS, preferably using infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform.
  • Working experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
  • Knowledge of the Electric Vehicle Batties is desired.
