This role analyzes and conducts quality assurance testing to ensure that software operates properly, is defect-free and meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. The position will apply quality assurance principles, methodologies, tools and techniques to ensure quality across the entire software development lifecycle. The Quality Assurance Engineer intern will partner with Delivery Team members to provide support with the design, development, code review, and maintenance of automated test scripts using the Tosca automation tool and framework. This role will collaborate with the test engineers to select, prioritize, and execute the automation scripts.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b>:</p><ul><li>Gains familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering concepts, practices, and methodologies.</li><li>With guidance, performs standard QA duties, including:<ul><li>Reviewing and validating software requirements and functional design specifications</li><li>Reviewing documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance and completeness</li><li>Using QA methods and tools to audit, test and ensure the quality of various software applications</li><li>Executing, updating and maintaining test plans and test cases</li><li>Developing automated test scripts</li><li>Tracking test coverage and defect metrics</li><li>Troubleshooting and triaging of issues</li><li>Using bug tracking systems to report defects or design flaws to project teams and developers</li><li>Documenting and escalating issues as appropriate</li><li>Writing and organizing test review documentation</li><li>Assists manager and team colleagues on selected projects.</li><li>Develops progress reports and communicates project status to manager and project stakeholders.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>College student currently pursuing a bachelors degree or masters degree in Computer-Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Don’t miss out on the first steps toward your future.
