In this role, you will play a critical part in building and maintaining IBM system tooling, while leveraging modern technologies—including <b>AI</b>—to enhance our system management capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs.</p><p></p><p>We’re open to candidates who may come from a <b>Java or Python background</b> and demonstrate a strong willingness to <b>learn and work with RPG</b>. The team values adaptability and a growth mindset, and we are flexible in helping strong engineers grow into the RPG space.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Design, build, and maintain <b>IBMi system management tools</b> and automation workflows.</p></li><li><p>Utilize <b>GitHub Copilot</b> for ideation, solution planning, and execution using AI-enhanced templates.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain tools using <b>RPG</b>, <b>JavaScript</b>, <b>TypeScript</b>, <b>Node.js</b>, and <b>Python</b>.</p></li><li><p>Implement and manage monitoring/alerting solutions with <b>New Relic</b>, <b>PagerDuty</b>, and <b>Splunk</b>.</p></li><li><p>Use <b>Aldon</b> for software change management and version control.</p></li><li><p>Write and debug code using <b>Visual Studio Code (VS Code)</b>.</p></li><li><p>Participate in code reviews and align with company best practices.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues effectively.</p></li><li><p>Stay informed of industry trends and continuously seek improvements to tooling and automation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><p><span>Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field.
