Here, you will lead a team of engineers, provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure they meet their goals and deadlines. Youll have the opportunity to monitor the performance of the software and cloud infrastructure, taking steps to optimize its performance and reliability. Work closely with other teams to identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve business outcomes and develop innovative solutions. Stay apprised of the latest trends and technologies in software engineering and make recommendations on how to incorporate them into the platform. Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the platform meets security and compliance requirements. Design, develop, test, and maintain the software and cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and is secure, scalable, reliable, and performant. Define and maintain software development standards and best practices, ensuring they are followed by the team. Mentor team members in areas of expertise.</span></span></span></p><p></p><h3><b><span>Key Responsibilities</span></b></h3><ul><li><p><span>Lead team efforts to design, develop, test, document, and support complex software systems and applications, including Salesforce (Apex, Lightning Web Components) solutions and microservices architectures.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide technical and procedural guidance to team members, adjacent teams, and stakeholders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering peers as well as stakeholders to develop highly complex systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Estimate software development tasks with predictable variances, given specified functional and business requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Evaluate secure coding practices and tools, recommending and driving improvements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Define, recommend, and implement metrics to improve quality, cycle time, reliability, and other key factors.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Present system modifications and designs to peers and colleagues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure application of secure coding practices, performance testing, and resolution of uncovered issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support multiple teams through sound technical guidance and solution development.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Help define, develop, and deliver training and education for systems users, Software Engineering colleagues, allied groups, and other stakeholders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive innovation by exploring alternative solutions and testing promising ideas.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Establish challenging goals designed to deliver exceptional business results and track progress.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Mentor and coach other engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence.</span></p></li></ul><h3><b><span>Qualifications:</span></b></h3><ul><li><b><span> </span></b><span>Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related field.</span></li><li><p><span>7+ years of professional, hands-on software development experience in a senior technical role.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Web Components).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong experience designing and building microservices using Java, C#, or other OOO language.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Object-oriented design experience, including extensive knowledge of related technology platforms, design patterns, and RESTful APIs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong experience leveraging AI tools such as Github Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT to support and enhance development efforts.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience delivering software in cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS, Azure).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with UI technologies such as React, Angular, or similar.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of development tools (IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Git, Copado, etc.).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (New Relic, Data Dog, Dynatrace, PagerDuty, etc).</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to drive all phases of the development cycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, rollout, and support.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to influence and collaborate with supporting teams (Product, DevOps, DBAs, etc) to achieve objectives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with API management tools, contract-first API design, and OAuth 2.0 is highly desirable.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to break work into incremental chunks that deliver value.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Drug Testing</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
