This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working under attorney supervision in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate legal department.</p><p></p><p>We’re looking for someone who thrives on detail, is excited to learn and grow, and brings both initiative and teamwork to every project. As a Contracts Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting Cox Automotive Retail Solutions and the broader Cox Automotive Commercial Operations legal team, managing a wide variety of contracts, processes, and client interactions with skill and confidence.</p><p></p><p>This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Retail Solutions, and will involve regular engagement with clients, internal business teams, and outside counsel.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage the full contract lifecycle, from intake through execution, renewal, and amendment.</p></li><li><p>Review, draft, and revise a wide range of agreements—including SaaS, API access, system interoperability, beta/test, and commercial contracts—under attorney supervision.</p></li><li><p>Negotiate non-legal business terms, assess risks, and ensure alignment with business goals.</p></li><li><p>Maintain, update, and improve legal contract templates, checklists, and clause libraries to ensure accuracy and compliance.</p></li><li><p>Track contract status and obligations using CLM systems or trackers, and coordinate document execution via e-signature platforms.</p></li><li><p>Support business partners by preparing renewal and amendment documentation, managing approval workflows, and ensuring adherence to contract terms.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with product, finance, and business teams to gather input and align contracts with operational needs.</p></li><li><p>Drive process improvements, leveraging technology and legal operations tools to increase efficiency and consistency.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a liaison between the legal team and stakeholders, ensuring smooth contract intake, review, and workflow management.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the development of best practices, policies, and procedures that enhance legal operations and support Cox’s growth.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p></p><p><b>Minimum:</b></p><ul><li><p>A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm is required; alternatively, a master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 3 years of relevant experience.</p></li><li><p>Extensive experience in contract review, drafting, and management, with a strong understanding of key commercial terms.</p></li><li><p>Excellent analytical skills, sound legal judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrates proficiency in legal technology tools and is committed to utilizing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.</p></li><li><p>Proven collaborator and team player.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Benefits</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
