Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.<p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Job Description</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p><span><span>A mid-level vehicle technician provides a high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles.  Provides service and delivery of vehicles with exceptional service to customers and is mindful of the control of costs.  The technician may work independently or in a team environment. <b>This technician will be working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.</b></span></span></p><p></p><p><span><b><span>PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES </span></b></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Performs some more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and some fabrication. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Based upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine, and drive line components, etc. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>May maintain/repair equipment. (cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.) </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Keep shop area clean and tidy. Perform work in accordance with safety standards. Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Create and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records. May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Assures availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Provides custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs. May perform roadside assistance as needed.  </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Go above and beyond when we look at a vehicle, so the work is done at the higher standard. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Take action on a work without being asked by ones supervisor. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. </span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b><span>Required Experience &amp; Specialized Knowledge and skills </span></b></span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>3-5 years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Must be able to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Must continue training to meet with technology and automotive changes as they occur. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. </span></span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements. </span></span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><span>YDGCOX</span></span></p><p></p><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>Drug Testing</b></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
