Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will provide accurate and timely financial information to support our wholesale distribution and software businesses across Australia &amp; New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, head office finance team and be part of a global organisation that makes a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.Your responsibilities will include –<ul><li>Produce on a timely and accurate basis allocated balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Produce on a timely and accurate basis allocated profit and loss month end analysis.</li><li>Calculate and post a variety of accruals postings.</li><li>Prepare monthly reporting for AIRC/CCG training &amp; consulting businesses, including ensuring accurate revenue recognition, accruals and other entries as required.</li><li>Reconcile and prepare monthly vendor rebates invoices.</li><li>Reconcile and approve corporate sales rebate invoices.</li><li>Analyse and update monthly accrual procedures for new contracts between either corporate buying groups or vendor rebates.</li><li>Assist with the completion of statutory financial statements.</li><li>Assist with forecast and budget submissions.</li><li>Undertake Controls testing and monitor to ensure that all testing is completed in order to meet reporting requirements and deadlines.</li><li>Participate in various project workgroups where necessary.</li><li>Preparation for both internal and external Auditors.</li></ul>About YouIdeally you will display –<ul><li>Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards).</li><li>Demonstrated three years experience within a large, commercial environment and accounting team.</li><li>Advanced skills in MS Excel.</li><li>Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication to suit different internal stakeholders.</li><li>Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your work in an agile way.</li><li>A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on seeking out continuous improvement opportunities.</li></ul>Why Join Us?At Covetrus, we’re proud of our family friendly culture and respectful workplace.
