You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to solve complex problems at scale, while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence across the organization. What You Will Do : <ul> <li>Lead the development of scalable and fault-tolerant backend systems</li> <li>Define and execute technical strategy in alignment with product roadmaps</li> <li>Drive architectural decisions and promote best practices across engineering teams</li> <li>Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize and plan strategic initiatives</li> <li>Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through Agile methodologies</li> <li>Own operational metrics and ensure high system reliability and observability</li> <li>Mentor and grow engineering talent through coaching and technical guidance</li> <li>Establish and manage operational support processes for backend services</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications : <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field</li> <li>15+ years of experience in software development</li> <li>10+ years of experience building and operating backend services and web applications</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Framework</li> <li>Deep expertise in distributed systems, storage, and server technologies</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications : <ul> <li>Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)</li> <li>Hands-on experience with NoSQL and relational/columnar databases</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD automation and Agile methodologies</li> <li>Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack</li> <li>Passion for reliability engineering and operational excellence</li> </ul> Type of Work Model : Hybrid - Coupang hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration that acts a catalyst to enrich the experience of employees.
