This role is located in our Irvine, CA. office and has a schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day work from home. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead the design, implementation and deployment of new features and services</li><li>Build features and services using Kotlin, Python and front-end technologies</li></ul><ul><li>Build APIs, backend services and integrations that support our products</li><li>Work with relational and non-relational data stores</li><li>Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, engineers and QA</li><li>Ensure proper monitoring and respond to issues with live environments</li><li>Be an advocate for good engineering practices</li><li>Contribute to a learning culture</li><li>Mentor and coach junior engineers to meet their full potential</li></ul>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or an adjacent field required from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college</li><li>A track record of commitment to prior employers</li><li>5+ years of API (REST or GraphQL) development experience, designing and delivering features and services in a cloud environment</li><li>Experience developing SaaS solutions using modern OOP languages, such as, Java, Server-side Kotlin</li><li>Experience with microservices, Docker and Kubernetes </li><li>Experience with messaging frameworks, such as, RabbitMQ, Kafka </li><li>Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL </li><li>Exposure to non-relational data stores such as FoundationDB</li><li>Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of platform development</li><li>Familiarity with UI frameworks such as React or Angular</li><li>A solid track record of developing testable, maintainable, well-documented code</li><li>Ability to work well in an agile environment</li></ul>Whats In It For You?
