This manager is hands-on  and excited to play a critical role in the implementation of a comprehensive e-waste management program, managing everything from local vendor relationships to ensuring regulatory compliance, while also identifying opportunities for decarbonization and cost-saving measures. You will work across multiple regions building a network of trusted recyclers and regional vendors, ensuring the sustainable lifecycle management of hardware. This is a ground-up role where you will set the direction and establish key operational processes for our waste management strategy. Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and alignment with CoreWeave’s sustainability goals.
  • E-Waste Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle management of e-waste, from collection to recycling or repurposing. Implement strategies to maximize reuse and resale of electronic equipment, reducing waste and lowering costs.
  • Decarbonization & Sustainability Integration: Ensure the waste management program aligns with CoreWeave’s decarbonization objectives. Identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions across the waste lifecycle and improve resource efficiency.
  • Cost Management & Efficiency: Focus on cost-saving measures while maintaining high environmental standards. Continuously analyze waste management processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reductions, and improved sustainability.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the program adheres to environmental regulations and industry standards across all regions. Track and report progress on waste diversion, recycling, repurposing, and carbon reduction goals.
  • Internal Engagement: Develop training materials and conduct internal sessions to raise awareness and ensure all stakeholders understand their roles in the waste management process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve waste management systems, taking into account feedback, industry best practices, and evolving sustainability goals. Stay updated on new technologies and regulations impacting e-waste disposal and sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in waste management, particularly in e-waste or hardware lifecycle management.
  • Proven ability to implement waste management programs at scale, with direct experience in vendor management, logistics, and compliance.
  • Network of connections with recyclers, waste management vendors, and e-waste disposal organizations.
  • Knowledge of decarbonization strategies and experience integrating sustainability goals into waste management processes.
