This unit is responsible for the collection of the data through multiple streaming pipelines, its transformation, aggregation, sessionization and storage in our analytics database. We are in the process of merging the technical stack of three different companies and one of the biggest challenges will be to help teams with different cultural backgrounds and different timezones to work together in an optimal way. Our tech environment includes Typescript, Scala, Go, Kafka, and AWS/Azure — with a strong focus on performance, reliability, cost and long-term scalability.</span></div><h3>What You Will Do</h3><ul><li>Lead a team of 5 backend engineers (including a Staff Engineer), fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and pragmatic engineering culture (team rituals, career development, recruitment, etc.).</li><li>Use your technical background to support architectural decisions, review technical approaches, and help the team make thoughtful, scalable trade-offs.</li><li>Drive the successful and timely delivery of high-impact, large-scale backend/data projects at the core of our platform.</li><li>Help the team navigate technical, cultural and organizational challenges across distributed timezones (EU, US, AUS), while maintaining focus and autonomy.</li></ul><h3>What You Will Need to Succeed</h3><ul><li>Solid experience as a backend or data engineer, ideally in a data-intensive or high-scale environment.</li><li>A<a href="http://environment.at">t</a> least 2 years of experience in engineering management, with a strong focus on team delivery, structure and clear communication.</li><li>A pragmatic and structured approach to engineering management, including mentoring, regular 1:1s, goal setting, and fostering a strong sense of ownership.</li><li>Familiarity with technologies used in our technical stack such as AWS/Azure, Kafka, Scala, Go, ClickHouse, Singlestore is a plus – but not a requirement.</li></ul><div><b><span>Why you should join Contentsquare</span></b></div><div><span>We invest in our people through career development, mentorship, social events, philanthropic activities, and competitive benefits.
