This leader will provide strategic direction and oversight of our Powersports lending partnerships, leveraging a data-driven approach to optimize underwriting, loan pricing, and credit policy design. In this role, the Senior Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and refine credit strategies that align with business objectives, enhance profitability, and strengthen portfolio performance. They will translate complex analytical insights into actionable recommendations and communicate those effectively to senior leaders across the organization. As an integral member of the Credit Strategy team, this individual will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Octane’s risk management practices, business outcomes, and long-term success. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in data analytics and credit risk assessment with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. <hr /> Responsibilities:  <ul> <li>Manage and optimize origination underwriting to ensure the portfolio performance is within risk appetite framework. </li> <li>Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.</li> <li>Ability to perform advanced data analytics and advise the underwriting strategies for loan origination, loan amount assignment, and loan pricings that optimize profitability from end to end.</li> <li>Collaborate with the portfolio risk team to track credit performance and take action to manage the portfolio within the organization’s risk management appetite. </li> <li>Take ownership of credit policy documentation and enhance policies and processes to mitigate credit risk exposure.</li> <li>Improve sophistication and technical implementation of current approaches. </li> <li>Maintain quality control and validation that risk processes are working as expected.</li> <li>Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.</li> <li>Work cross-functionally with the company’s Tech, Product, Sales, and Finance teams to lead and manage new credit product initiatives that further our mission of providing convenient point-of-sale financing to niche consumer products.              </li> <li>Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring alignment with team objectives.</li> </ul> <hr /> Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.</li> <li>3+ years experience managing and developing employees.</li> <li>4+ years of Auto Lending experience in performing credit analysis including experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau / Power BI.</li> <li>Exceptional hands-on experience Python, SQL, Tableau and Excel.</li> <li>Strong overall understanding of consumer credit and lending.</li> <li>Proficient in a range of statistical models and methodologies, with a strong ability to assess and interpret variable importance to drive data-driven insights and decision-making.</li> <li>Experience taking analyses from raw data to polished recommendations and communicating complex, technical findings to broad audiences.</li> <li>Experience in partnership portfolio is a plus.</li> </ul> <hr /> Compensation: In addition to salary, Total Rewards include bonus eligibility, a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $135,000 to $180,000 + bonus incentive eligibility.
