If a position is listed with both office locations and virtual offerings, Comcast may be willing to consider candidates who live greater than 100 miles from the office for the remote option.)Job SummaryJob DescriptionDUTIES:                               Contribute to a team responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software issues within the RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform; write and maintain scripts using C and C++ to automate tasks; perform data analysis using Python; troubleshoot issues in embedded systems using Linux OS; perform log management and system monitoring using Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Splunk; diagnose and resolve issues related to network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP; work with AWS; engage in proactive and reactive analysis of field issues, ensuring product quality by identifying and resolving key issues; create and maintain in-house tools that automate the triage process, contributing to streamlined operations; facilitate faster CPE firmware release rollouts with a focus on enhancing user experience; prioritize issues, set SLAs for Dev fixes, conduct QA validation, oversee release rollouts, and direct non-CPE issues to respective teams; conduct in-depth analyses of issues, including source code level analysis, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions; handle Incident Management, war rooms, and faster identification of the trigger components; collaborate with Development, Release Management, and QA teams; keep current with technological developments within the industry; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; and review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
