Attendance is expected and fully supported.</p></div><p>We are looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead one of our teams within the Platform Product Group, Machine Learning Systems and Services </p> <p>The Platform Product Group’s mission is to build a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform to maximize velocity, efficiency and quality. They build the foundations that can be used by multiple products and teams at Coinbase so that users can have a consistent and high-quality experience.   </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing (ie. Job Duties)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead Machine Learning teams, such as the Risk Team.</li> <li>Guide the output of a team of 25+ ML engineers and work with product partners to identify and solve new use cases for ML on blockchain.</li> <li>Collaborate with scientists, engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.</li> <li>Collaborate with Product and Engineering to break down complex projects into smaller pieces and iterate on their design and implementation.</li> <li>Coach your direct reports to have a positive impact on the organization and chart a fulfilling career path.</li> <li>Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making diligent architectural decisions.</li> <li>Work with our talent organization to source and hire amazing engineers who will expand the Coinbase culture and product.</li> <li>Contribute to owning and delivering processes that drive engineering quality and meet our engineering SLAs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements)</strong></p> <ul> <li>PhD (preferred) or MS in Computer Science or other Engineering discipline</li> <li>10+ years of working experience in machine learning and  software engineering</li> <li>At least 5 years of ML/engineering management experience, with ideally 2 years of experience managing through others. </li> <li>Experience in leading multiple ML teams</li> <li>Experience in interfacing with partner orgs, and building ML strategy in collaboration with Product Manager partners.
