We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated software architect that can lead the design, development, and evolution of our knowledge graph platform architecture. The architecture covers all of our industrial knowledge graph product area, including the data modeling service, 3D, search, files/documents and time series backends as well as our auth system. As a principal architect you will be responsible for the technical design of our foundational services and technology choices. These designs and choices must give Cognite a long term competitive advantage by allowing us to execute on our product roadmap, while maintaining scalability, robustness and cost efficiency.</span></div><h3>As the Lead Architect of Knowledge Graph at Cognite you will:</h3><ul><li>Lead the technical design of our core backend services</li><li>Make technical decisions that give Cognite a competitive edge</li><li>Ensure that the architecture in the Knowledge Graph Product Area is aligned with Cognite’s architecture principles, that it is scalable, can meet its SLOs and that cloud cost scales in a reasonable manner</li><li>As part of the Office of the CTO, contribute to the overall architecture and architecture principles at Cognite</li><li>Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, libraries and tools and drive the adoption of these in our teams</li><li>Lead by example by working with the teams to ensure the right level of standardization (and to help out where specialization is needed)</li><li>Work cross functionally to understand the needs of our customers, partners and developers building applications on top of our Knowledge Graph</li><li>Work closely with delivery teams and other product areas to ensure our core platform caters to their needs, for example making sure that AI agents can navigate our Knowledge Graph effectively</li><li>Mentor senior developers</li></ul><h3>We believe most of these should match you and your experience:</h3><ul><li>10+ years of platform development experience</li><li>Experience architecting complex systems at scale</li><li>Good overview over storage and indexing systems like Postgres, Elasticsearch, Blob storage and key-value stores</li><li>Strong software development background with typed &amp; compiled languages, experience with JVM is a plus</li><li>Experience in implementing good practices for testing and development standards across large codebases</li><li>Understanding of how to design high performance systems that consistently deliver on SLOs</li><li>Experience working with k8s and managed services (PaaS) on one or more of the major public clouds: AWS, Azure or GCP</li><div><br /></div><div>Dont meet every single requirement?
