Someone who will join the force with other (very senior!) engineers in one of the toughest teams in the company. We’re dealing with a very high (millions a minute) load and lots of critical code that brings unique challenges to solve. I need someone who’s accountable over his work with a mindset of “getting things done” and “innovating where possible.</div><div><br /></div><h3>What You’ll Do?</h3><ul><li><b>Be a Central Figure in the Team</b> – Serve as the go-to expert on everything related to the team’s services and infrastructure. Work closely with product managers. Learn and be able to reason about the existing code base on demand, deriving insights quickly and managing context switches effectively.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Deliver Solutions with Impact &amp; Efficiency</b> – Stay focused on business goals and customer delight. Ensure we deliver features that move the needle and are implemented efficiently and iteratively.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Maintain High Code Quality &amp; Architecture</b> – Collaborate with developers to uphold high coding standards and work with our architects’ forum to ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with our platform vision. Utilize code generation tools for a larger impact.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Drive Innovation</b> – Identify areas for improvement and propose meaningful enhancements. Acknowledge customer feedback and incorporate your ideas to refine our solutions.</li></ul><h3>What type of person are we looking for?</h3><ul><li><b>Experienced Developer </b>– 8+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Hands-On Developer</b> – Comfortable coding in multiple languages (Go, Ruby, Node preferred). Experience working with Generative AI technologies (GPT, Copilot, Cursor) is a plus.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Cloud Savvy</b> – Strong hands-on experience with AWS (or equivalent). Expertise in high-scale, distributed cloud architectures.</li><div><br /></div><li><b>Business-Focused</b> – Driven by delivery and impact rather than rigid role definitions.
