This spans across all channels of customer engagement: marketing pages, Cloudflare’s blog, the public customer dashboard, and domain search and registration. We build the technology that allows customer-facing teams to Cloudflare customers. As a Senior Systems Engineer on the Platform Team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the main internal administrative tool. You will build customer configurations and customer support tools for several cross-functional teams. You’ll bring industry best practices for standing up custom applications, and a solid understanding of modern development. <ul> <li>Use tools, frameworks, and libraries to build a robust administrative platform</li> <li>We’re currently using Javascript and Python; bonus points if you have worked with PHP for legacy portions of the platform</li> <li>Review work from your peers throughout all stages of the development lifecycle</li> <li>Support fellow team members through constructive code reviews and pair programming to help bring out their best work</li> </ul> Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience <ul> <li>More than 5 years of experience building and managing high volume web applications; React, Typescript, and Python are expected </li> <li>PHP is a plus</li> <li>Experience building, deploying and operating services</li> <li>You enjoy getting things done and have a bias for action: youre a builder and a creator and have contributed teams that deliver results</li> <li>Understanding of core web performance and server-side applications</li> <li>Deep knowledge of feature flagging and incremental feature delivery</li> <li>Experience contributing to build systems for large JavaScript and/or PHP projects </li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
